CNY15 IN KL - DAY 1

Once we checked-in, a SUPER HUGE burden was lifted off my shoulders cause everyone was safe and we made it despite whatever we face in the morning.

Unpacked and put away our stuffs, washed up, change and we're finally out. Note that at this point, both me and my sister only had minimal sleep (put it at 1 hr max). Went down to the kedai kopi behind Park Royal for a cheap but hearty breakfast. Jazib was super cranky at that time, only to find out that he was actually sleepy. So we ate and he slept. Hahaha.

By then it was already about noon? So we decided to take cab down to KL Sentral to purchase our bus tickets up to Genting. The cab driver nak tout je, tsk. I had to insist to just send us to KL Sentral cause he keeps on saying that he can send us up as well. Nasib my mom and my sister play along well. So yes we reached KL Sentral safe and unharmed, and it was metered but it was the MPV cab so I think it was about RM17?

Went straight to the bus counter and purchased our tickets. Cost RM 10.60 for both the bus and skyway ride up to Genting. Since the bus departs at 2:30pm, we decided to walk around the shopping centre first. There wasn't anything interesting there, same old same old. End up, duduk kt Starbucks and had our catch up session.

Cut things short, there wasn't much going on in Genting. To be honest, it was actually boring cause it's basically just a very cooling place with casino there. And since I'm with my mom and my sister, tkkan nk masok casino die pulak kan. We were looking at the indoor theme park for the kids, but there was only like 5-8 rides left? And it was either RM8 per ride or RM30 for the whole thing. Not worth it at all. Jazib was already whining countless times cause he saw all the rides and he wanted to go on one badly. Told him to wait while we had our lunch at Kenny Rogers and think. We end up bringing him to the arcade. And he was a happy kid.

Our bus back to KL Sentral departs at 9:30pm but we were afraid that the queue for the skyride will be long so we made a move earlier. And.... there wasn't any queue. Hahaha. Apparently the Chinese are still having their reunion dinner at that time. It was only about 7:30pm then? There was two things Jazib said in the skyride down that made my hair stand. He said it randomly on both occasions while talking to my mom.

1. Nyayi nyayi, you see over there (points out to the jungle). There got hantu.
2. No la nyayi, later the wire snap and this thing fall down and we die.

What would your reaction be if you heard these sentences from an innocent kid, while you're dangling in the air and below you are all tall trees and god knows what else is down there. Amidst the thick clouds and dark night. I swear I had a Final Destination moment screening through my head and I was thinking of the contingency plan should anything happen.

Since he was saying it out in English, only my mom, my sister and myself understood what he said. We looked at each other with dazzled expressions, unsure of what or how to answer him. If he were to say it out in Malay, I'm sure bibik would have shrieked cause she has a fear of height and it was her first time taking the cable car.

The fact that we got the same bus driver for our return trip doesn't help to ease my worries at all since he was speeding on the corners downhill. There was a few times he had a close call with a few cars, some of those I witnessed it with my own two eyes cause the cars was on my side. Idk how can they drive so recklessly with a peace of mind, knowing that they are ferrying the lives of about 30 people on board.

Anyhow, we reached KL Sentral back in one piece, Alhamdulillah. :) One of the cab drivers I flagged down asked for RM30 in a normal cab. But we finally got on this one normal cab who uses meter and he was super honest. Thanks to him, we manage to know of the estimated prices from our place to the places we wanna go. It was only RM9.xx but we just passed him RM10.

So yes, that's our day 1 basically. Will post on the next few days of my KL trip shortly.
