First stop: Kuromon Ichiban Market. Kinda like the famous Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, but on a downscale version. No live auction of tuna, but the same amount of seafood. Love this place. Everything you see there is fresh, and it's not as expensive (to me). I even love the fresh juice that they sell at 200¥.
We had our fair share of morning breakfast eating sushi & sashimi there. Even had scallops! Filled our tummies well and I even got Kimono(s) for Danish & Isya. Didn't want to buy it there at first cause I thought it was expensive, but then I was afraid that it might be even more expensive in Tokyo.
Next stop: Osaka Castle. Getting to the castle was a long walk because the castle was situated in the middle of a huge-ass land. It was like partially hidden from the eyes of the public, but it's hard to miss once you've stepped in to the castle grounds.
Again, there was plenty of people everywhere, but there is this one spot on the ground level of the castle that has the so-called birds eye view and not many people knew of that place cause you have to climb a short flight of stairs. Nenek and her sister were enjoying themselves there, taking loads and loads of pictures.
There was this photobooth in the middle of the castle grounds with signs saying "free picture" and you get to wear a Samurai outerwear & hold the Samurai sword. Being Singaporean, we were pretty skeptical about it and so we skipped it.
Last stop: Back to Dotonburi. This time we decide to hunt for Halal food, but again we were disappointed (mainly our fault since we didn't call in) because the waitress mentioned that we have to make reservation 3 days in advance. So we went back to the shop we ate at the previous day to have our dinner, then we walked around Dotonburi before calling it a day.
Oh! If you're there, try to get an egg tart from the shop below. Their tarts are amazing!! It melts in the mouth and doesn't have that muak taste. It's on the same row as the famous crab sign shop, but nearer to the main road.
Okay, day 4 up next!
