Of course, the Halal food overseas are relatively expensive. But at Mr Kebabs, it's quite reasonable. They have different type of meal or can you just purchase the Kebabs ala-carte. The meat (chicken/lamb) was also quite tasty and they give a generous amount of meat!
| Here's the rough indication of pricing, sorry it's not quite clear |
We reached our apartment earlier than standard check-in time but we were allowed to enter once the cleaning lady is done with her chores. It was exactly like how it was listed on Airbnb. Not disappointed at all.. The apartment was spick and span, there was towels and soap/shampoo provided (which was essential to us at that point of time cause all our toiletries are in our missing baggage), the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfy. Even the air-cond was working fine...
Once we've freshened up, we went to the Trick Eye Museum. & yes in the same clothes still (-.-) Getting to the area was easy but finding the building itself took us some time.. We were circling around the area - at the same time window shopping - before we finally found it.
*Btw look out for discout coupons for foreigners online and also at the tourist information counter at the airport.
We were totally blown away by the creativity of this museum. At that point of time there wasn't one in Singapore so kite very jakon la hor.. More photos up on facebook, too many for me to post here anyway. :D
After that, we went to Ewha Women's University to shop around for some clothings to change into for the night.

| This thing is damn delicious! Sweet and savoury and it only cost ₩1,000 |
We didn't try to walk around in the university - you're allowed to do so as long as you're a woman - cause the temperature was getting colder upon nightfall especially with all the wind blowing. Finally bought clothes and ate street food to fill our tummies before agreeing to go to Dongdaemun. We heard the things there were cheap but we got quite cheated cause it wasn't really cheap.
TIPS: Things at non-touristy advertised places are cheaper, like cart stalls at the train stations or so.
Above two pics were our final attempt to stop to take pictures. I swear it was freezing cold and we almost got frostbites!!
We stopped by a grocery shop in Itaewon to get our groceries for our stay there before calling it a day. Too tired to even have proper dinner. :/
To be continued...
